17 year old Trayvon Martin was shot down last month by 26 year old George Zimmerman. Trayvon was in town visiting his father. During halftime of the NBA All-Star game, he walked to the store for Skittles and an Arizona iced tea. He never made it back home. Zimmerman, a criminal justice student at Seminole State College & Neighborhood Crime Watch captain, reported to the police that he saw a suspicious person walking in his gated community. He proceeded to follow, provoke, then finally shot the young man in his chest with a 9mm pistol- a gun shot that killed Trayvon. Zimmerman claims that he shot in self defense and has yet to be arrested.
